Trivia

When the Dowager Empress goes to see the Czar on the train, she implores him to talk to 'cousin George' about getting out of Russia, by who she meant King George V of Britain. The Romanovs really did ask the British government for help, but they were refused as the Czarina was German born, which would have undermined the Allied war effort. King George regretted his decision for the rest of his life. See more »

the fall
24 July 2019 | by KirpianuscusSee all my reviews

The fall of dinasty and the ancient Russia. Good portraits of Yurovsky, Great Duchess Olga and Kerensky. And nice cases of fake Anastasia and Yurovsky, After five episodes, the serie becomes not better but...clear. You admire more the architecture of serie than the serie itself at the level of story. It is a decent job, of course, but, first, it is a honest one, not ignoring the subjectivity. So, an usefull episode, maybe the most difficult because it keeps the spirit of the entire serie, presenting the fall of Romanovs.
