Learn How to Make a Homemade 7-Foot-Tall Krampus Display This Holiday Season

  • DailyDead
Similar to how Trick ’r Treat has become synonymous with Halloween, Michael Dougherty's Krampus has become an integral part of the holiday season, warming horror fans' hearts with seasonal scares and one hell of a demonic creature to fear. And while it may be some time before we see that titular demonic character from Krampus and real-life lore being sold as a decoration in department stores, one fan of the film decided to avoid the naughty wait list by making his own Krampus display, and it is truly a seven-foot-tall miracle to give thanks to this holiday season.

Created by Reddit and Imgur user Tyler Garner, this seven-foot-tall Krampus display is the perfect way to spread the holiday cheer while scaring off any unwelcome carolers. On Imgur, Garner shared his step-by-step process for making the ambitious Krampus decoration.

Starting with a solid base, Garner used galvanized pipes as the bones for his Krampus,

Ghostface May Target Trick Or Treaters In MTV’s Scream Reboot

Say what you want about MTV’s television reboot of the Scream franchise, but it made for one hell of a ride, often getting darker and more disturbing than the Wes Craven films ever did. But even after turning in an incredible second season, declining ratings became impossible to overlook, though we could at least find some consolation in the fact that it’d been renewed for a third season to consist of six episodes. Needless to say, that’d provide ample time to wrap up some notably huge dangling threads.

Or so we thought.

In a bizarre turn of events, the network opted to completely scrap two years’ worth of storytelling, handily pissing off the entire fan base. As it so happens, they’re moving forward with a re-reboot helmed by new showrunners that also features an entirely new cast, which boasts Keke Palmer (Scream Queens), Rj Cyler (I

Hillary Clinton Jokes About Going as President for Halloween (Womp Womp)

Hillary Clinton Jokes About Going as President for Halloween (Womp Womp)
Trick or treat. It’s President Hillary Clinton.

During a book tour stop at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago on Monday night, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee was taken a bit off guard when she was asked what costume she was planning to wear for Halloween.

But then a lightbulb went off.

“I think I will maybe come as the president!” the former secretary of state said to laughter from the crowd of nearly 4,000 people.

Clinton, who was in Chicago to promote her memoir about the 2016 campaign, What Happened, didn’t specify whether she planned to dress as herself as president or as President Donald Trump.

How 'Stranger Things' Season 2 Captures the Halloween Spirit

[Warning: This story contains spoilers for season two, episode two of Netflix's Stranger Things, "Chapter Two: Trick or Treat, Freak."]

The first full Stranger Things season-two trailer, released during Comic-Con, offered at least one major revelation about the second year of the Netflix series: the Ghostbusters were coming to Hawkins.

While it wasn't the focus of the full season, Halloween (and therefore the likes of Doctors Venkman, Spengler and Stantz) ended up playing a pivotal role in the second episode of the season, "Chapter Two: Trick or Treat, Freak." Across two seasons of the Duffer...

Trick 'R Treat Was Originally Supposed To Be Directed By Horror Movie Icons

Before writer and director Michael Dougherty helmed every segment in the classic 2009 Halloween film Trick 'r Treat, he had a different plan for the horror anthology.

Early on in development, he had sent VFX master Stan Winston his animated short film that the movie would be based on, and Winston jumped on board to produce the film! Winston managed to wrangle up a crazy talented group of iconic horror directors, each one would have directed a different segment of the film.

During an interview on the podcast Post Mortem With Mick Garris, Dougherty revealed the details and explained that this early version of the project fell apart because there were no studios at the time interested in funding an anthology horror film. When talking about Winston's vision, Dougherty said:

“But the way he wanted to do with it was a traditional anthology, where you go out and get a director for each one.

We All Need a Little Sister Like Erica From Stranger Things

In the first season of Stranger Things, Mike's (Finn Wolfhard) adorable baby sister, Holly Wheeler (Anniston and Tinsley Price), steals the show whenever she's on the screen. For season two, it's Lucas's (Caleb McLaughlin) call-it-like-she-sees-it little sister, Erica, who just may take the crown as our favorite Stranger Things sibling. While we also meet Lucas's parents in season two, Erica is clearly the one who keeps Lucas in line. Played by newcomer and Atlanta, Ga, native Priah Ferguson, Erica's one-liners in "Chapter Two: Trick or Treat, Freak" - when she hilariously calls Lucas out for his "nerdy" Ghostbusters Halloween costume - let us know early on that she's going to be a handful, not just for Lucas but also for the entire Hawkins crew. Before Stranger Things, Ferguson took on the role of Fatima in VH1's Daytime Divas and also made a cameo in the Emmy-winning show Atlanta.

Is Trick 'r Treat 2 Finally Happening Soon?

It's been a while, but it looks like Michael Dougherty is still hoping to make Trick 'r Treat 2 happen. The original anthology horror movie has become a huge favorite in the years since its release and, since it was made for next to nothing, it became sort of a sleeper hit for Legendary Pictures as well. Even though Dougherty is busy finishing post-production on Godzilla 2 right now, which recently wrapped filming, the director hopes to make Trick 'r Treat 2 his next movie. Here's what he had to say about it in a recent interview.

"My hope is that once Godzilla has been put to rest that I can dive back into [Trick 'r Treat 2]. I would love to finish writing it in post-production [of Godzilla] and then I'd love to make it my next project. But we'll see."

While he seems a little non-committal here, it does sound like Michael Dougherty is serious

The ‘Halloween’ Franchise Ranked From the Worst to Best Slash

The ‘Halloween’ Franchise Ranked From the Worst to Best Slash
There was no way to predict that a low-budget, independent horror movie with a no-name cast would go on to become one of the most influential films in cinematic history. But 40 years ago, John Carpenter built the framework for one of the most successful franchises ever and helped create the “slasher” genre with the 1978 smash Halloween.

In the ensuing years, Michael Myers (aka The Shape) became one of culture’s preeminent boogeymen, Carpenter’s haunting theme continued to set an ominous mood and the fictional town of Haddonfield dealt with a serious body count problem. While the motivations for Michael’s actions grew more convoluted, he remained a terrifying force four decades later.

Now, with a new Halloween in the works from director David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride, featuring original star Jamie Lee Curtis as the ultimate survivor, Et decided it was time to look back on the franchise to determine which film is a dull
