They forgot to include the laughs

Charles Parrott after lloyd left street sweeper then hired as a gardener film crew want to use property for western??

Annoying soundtrack on YouTube print.

"On Location" is a short from Hal Roach Studio. It's directed by Charles Parrott...otherwise known by his stage name, Charley Chase...who directed a lot of films for the studio. It stars Snub Pollard, a comic who until recently played second banana to Harold Lloyd. But after Lloyd left the studio to produce his own films, Pollard was elevated to leading man in a string of comedies in the early 20s.

"On Location" is a film that has several funny situations but again and again it fails to capitalize on them well. So, while Snub plays a street sweeper with OCD, they really didn't do much of this. Later, he quits and gets a job as a gardener...and it should have been funnier...especially when a film crew arrive and want to film a western in a VERY residential LA area home. Overall, an okay comedy that lacked a lot of laughs.
