The diesel multiple unit which formed the British Rail train that the robbers were trying to attack would not run under its own power so it was pushed by Flockton Flyer which was out of shot. One side of the DMU was temporarily painted in BR blue/yellow for filming, with the other unseen side left in the West Somerset Railway's crimson/cream livery. See more
As the hijacked train squeals to a halt at the buffers at Flockton station, we see the train driver and the two robbers in a three-quarter shot. The paintwork surrounding the cab window is yellow. After a brief cutaway shot of the Carters' parrot, the robbers and the train driver are seen again in a head-on shot, but this time the cab window is surrounded by blue paintwork. See more
