Storyline

Bones meets Dr. Camille 'Cam' Saroyan, an ex of Booth and recently created the first-ever head of forensics at the Jeffersonian, at the site of a train/car crash with three fatalities, including US senator Paula Davis and Wall Street tycoon Warren Lynch, who was dead at least six hours earlier, and whose firm Lynchpin International was about to face SEC proceedings, likely to make his stock plummet - an opportunity for stock short-selling worth many millions. Lynch was also on Mexican heroin with the boosting narcotic fentanyl and found out as serially unfaithful by his wife Brianna. Lynch's P.I. Rick Turco says he was hired to investigate a yet unknown blackmailer. Booth traces the heroin to petty dealer Eddie Bean. Vince McVicar, the pig farmer who killed Bones' mother, is himself murdered in jail; his killer admits to have been hired by her own father, Max Keenan. Zack and Angela find the Lynch corpse is actually not his, dental records were expertly falsified; shortly thereafter ... Written by KGF Vissers

Goofs

Booth mentions that Warren Lynch was captured traveling illegally in the "diamond" lanes on I-270 in MD at 1:56 pm. In the metro DC area, carpool lanes are commonly referred to as HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes. In addition, HOV restrictions would not have been in effect at that time of day. If Lynch was headed southbound, HOV restrictions are only in place from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. If he was headed northbound, the restrictions are applicable from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Also, the highway cameras that captured Lynch's infraction belong to the county, not the MD State Police, and are typically used to monitor traffic flow (not catch HOV lane violators). See more »

Quotes

Dr. Camille Saroyan: Why hasn't she confronted me?
Special Agent Seeley Booth: About what?
Dr. Camille Saroyan: About me being parachuted in over her head. She finds me intimidating, right?
[Booth chuckles]
Dr. Camille Saroyan: Hey, I intimidate people.
Special Agent Seeley Booth: Yeah. Bones doesn't intimidate.
Dr. Camille Saroyan: Then what?
Special Agent Seeley Booth: You've seen the way she stares at human remains before she makes a decision?
Dr. Camille Saroyan: Yes.
Special Agent Seeley Booth: You're human remains and... she hasn't made a decision yet.

Nice introduction episode of Dr. Camille Saroyan
14 October 2009 | by murasakiottoSee all my reviews

I found this series interesting from the beginning of season one and have seen many of the season one episodes. Here in Tokyo, this series is shown as a late late show starting from 3:10AM on Wednesday night (Thursday morning) and most of the time I recorded it to watch on the weekend, whenever I remembered. All of the cast are very attractive and good, and most of the stories were good. Still, it did not give me the urge to remember to see all. The reason, I myself did not realize until seeing this season two starter, was that the relationships between the characters were just " push" and "pull" ( I don't know a good English expression). Sam Cullen played by John M. Jackson, I though, was the guy to bundle the team, but was not even a regular cast. As for Dr. Goodman, I didn't even notice that he was a boss. I was getting a little tired of seeing this "making of mannerism" series but gave it a try last night which was this season two starter. Dr. Camille Saroyan is a great character to "catch and release" the difficult and unique characters (sorry again, I don't know a good expression) and also seems to become a strong and reliable boss. Of course this is because of the very talented Ms. Tamara Taylor, whom I have seen for the very first time, and makes me wonder how deep the American TV industry is to bring in such a wonderful but unknown (sorry!) actor to this show. I am urged to see all the episodes from now on.
