Terrance Murphy was originally hired for only three roles. Captain Kidd, Yukon King (the dog) and Earless Osdick (the cat). He achieved so many voice credits in the series by hanging around the recording studio constantly after his own recording sessions to watch the process and other actors. Occasionally it was noticed a small part was missed or overlooked for casting. Because he was usually right there on the couch, Terrance would be tossed in the studio to come up with something quickly that fit the bill.
