Set in modern times, vampires roam the earth and are humans mortal enemies. However, a substitute has been found for human blood, a substitute that vampires can consume with the same effect as human blood. This is True Blood. Now humans and vampires can coexist in harmony, and even form relationships. But there will always be rogue elements on both sides ready to exploit the uneasy truce.Written by
I watched this show because I wanted to binge on a completed series that had many great reviews. I just finished watching Sons of Anarchy, and was craving for another great show to watch. I really don't know what all the fuss was about. My favorite character is Jason Stackhouse because he was actually entertaining and funny. I found the storyline a little weak for my tastes (being an avid vampire/supernatural fan). There was a lot of potential and I found myself waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I wish that they ended it strong, but I was just disappointed. Maybe it works for some people. I felt like they overcompensated the lack of everything else with sex. I guess they really took that line, "sex sells" to heart.
