Joseph Mawle (Harry Harville) and Tobias Menzies (William Elliot) would later go on to play the parts of Benjen Stark and Edmure Tully in HBO's Game of Thrones. Their respective on-screen siblings Eddard and Catelyn were married.
The green striped gown with velvet Spencer jacket Julia Davis (Elizabeth Elliot) wears at Kellynch Hall is the same costume Anna Chancellor (Caroline Bingley) wears at Netherfield Hall in Pride and Prejudice (1995). However, the bottom portion of the gown, cut on the bias, has been removed for the later film. This gown also appears in Vanity Fair (1998) worn by Vicki Pepperdine (Ann Dobbin) in the park scenes, and by an extra at the London party where Annabella Milbanke meets Byron in Byron (2003). The Spencer also appears, without the striped gown, in Little Dorrit (2008), worn by Emma Pierson as Fanny Dorrit.
The red, long-sleeved gown with accordion-pleat trim on the over-sleeves worn by an extra in the Pump Room when Anne talks with Mr. Elliot is the same costume worn by Lady Willoughby when she meets Lady Russell in the Pump Room in Screen Two: Persuasion (1995), by an extra in the square at the end of Goya's Ghosts (2006), and by the dance teacher during the fan-language lesson in The Regency House Party (2004).
The sage-green Spencer jacket Sally Hawkins wears as Anne Elliot in the film's final scene is the same garment Amanda Root wears as Anne Elliot in the street in Bath in Screen Two: Persuasion (1995). The jacket is also worn by an extra at the salon in Byron (2003).
