In 1933 New York, an overly ambitious movie producer coerces his cast and hired ship crew to travel to the mysterious Skull Island, where they encounter Kong, a giant ape who is immediately smitten with leading lady Ann Darrow.
A giant, reptilian monster surfaces, leaving destruction in its wake as it strides into New York City. To stop it, an earthworm scientist, his reporter ex-girlfriend, and other unlikely heroes team up to save their city.
As a war between humankind and monstrous sea creatures wages on, a former pilot and a trainee are paired up to drive a seemingly obsolete special weapon in a desperate effort to save the world from the apocalypse.
In 1999, the Janjira nuclear plant was mysteriously destroyed with most hands lost including supervisor Joe Brody's colleague and wife, Sandra. Years later, Joe's son, Ford, a US Navy ordnance disposal officer, must go to Japan to help his estranged father who obsessively searches for the truth of the incident. In doing so, father and son discover the disaster's secret cause on the wreck's very grounds. This enables them to witness the reawakening of a terrible threat to all of Humanity, which is made all the worse with a second secret revival elsewhere. Against this cataclysm, the only hope for the world may be Godzilla, but the challenge for the King of the Monsters will be great even as Humanity struggles to understand the destructive ally they have.Written by

In the film, the US Army is sent to the Yucca Nuclear Waste Repository when the characters realize that there is a second spore containing a live, female MUTO. Dr. Serizawa describes the site as the place "where you send all of your nuclear waste". In reality, the proposed Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Repository was scrapped. An amendment to the Department of Defense and Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act of 2011 finally killed the project. Nuclear waste from U.S. nuclear power plants is currently being held at those plants until a new arrangement for a final disposal site can be made. Opposition to the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Repository remains high among environmentalists and Nevada residents, among others. See more »
Dr. Serizawa? Jerry Boyd. I'm warning you, it's a mess. It's just a total mess. Monarch set me in this morning. Took a look around but I told them we need you.

First, let me just say the cgi in this film just blows my mind. I have never seen it done as well as this, this was like Pacific Rim times five. I thought this movie would be a joke, until I saw it, but now I can believe I even thought that. overall just a beautiful film, one for the records, your pal John. The acting by Bryan Cranstons is as good as Breaking Bad, and should win some awards. Yes the movie has some awkward scenes with some bad acting but overall I could barely tell. This movie is like the Dark Night, just great action shots, really wish I could see it again. Overall, this is going in my collection, great movie recommend it to everyone.
