There are 6 children that aren't your average kids. Their names are Max (14 years old), Fang (14), Iggy (14), Nudge (11), Gazzy (8), and Angel (6). They're special hybrid humans; they had 2% avian DNA infused to their human DNA. They escaped from a lab they call "The School" with the help of their caretaker (Jeb Batchleder), and they've been living in the mountains since, even after Jeb dies. But when the half-lupine guards from The School, Erasers, have taken Angel, they go on a exhilarating journey to get her back. Along the way, their mysterious past is being revealed, as well as some stunning secrets. Written by Fyreflight And Jaydea

I Never Write Reviews But I Was Compelled to Because This Was Such a Steaming Heap of Garbage

I really, really enjoyed the book. I actually thought the casting director did a great job & the actors were as good as they could be with a script that was the most poorly adapted screenplay I've seen outside of Mystery Science Theater. But you can only polish a turd so much. Kudos to the actors for not having an emotional breakdown after being subjected to the 5,000 pages of running, really bad CGI & one line zingers that never really landed. Even the ending was crap. I can't believe that not one but TWO people adapted this fabulous book into monotonous action & non-existent dialogue. Didn't ONE of the two of you stop to think, "hey, some character development might be nice?" And how did you manage to fantastically RUIN all of the good action sequences? Good God, if your CGI is laughable, find a way to work around it; don't focus in on wings that look laughable for eons so we see how terrible they truly are; check out the wings from afar, then zoom in for a close up of the actor's face. Find a work around. And make us care about the characters! The book was great, but you could have lit all the characters on fire in the film & *no one would have cared because there was no character development!*. James Patterson is screaming somewhere. What a disservice to the actors, James Patterson & the crew that had to film this horrible adaptation. You can't squeeze water of of a horrible screenplay, no matter how good you are. This film could have launched several young careers & could have been a very profitable movie series - instead, it's the film all the actors will try to bury on their IMDb & Wikipedia pages.
