- Wyatt tries an appeal to his father when Lexi's condition worsens, Kroll goes Big Brother in the rigs, and Sack worries about meeting his son's tuition.

- Lexi Williams (Jeanette Brox) has worsened, so she is taken to hospital. She needs a transplant. Wyatt Cole (Tom Everett Scott) asks his father dr Martin Cole (David Clennon) to put a word for her and list her higher in the transplant list. Martin is glad that Wyatt takes an interest in somebody, but he doesn't think that he will be able to something. Wyatt says that Lexi is too young, and that she has all her life in front of her.
Cole and John "Sack" Hallon (Omari Hardwick) are being watched continuously when they drive the ambulance. Their conversations are recorded. They are worried about the price of the private schools of their children.
Sack realises that Cole has some interest in sixtenn-year old Lexi. They are called to the sight of a shooting. When they arrive there, a man is in shock. Cole tries to hide the rubber girl he was having sex with, so that his family won't have to feel ashamed. Harry Lawrence (Craig Fraser) was a chemist, and he was taking amphetamines.
An old lady keeps confusing Wyatt Cole with his late husband. Wyatt and Martin argue because Lexi is a high-risk patient. Sack arrives late because of his other job. He looks exhausted, but he needs the money to pay for his son's school.
The elderly lady needs to have surgery performed, but she is not mentally sound to sign it. The doctors realise that, if somebody doesn't sign the papers, the legal advisor of the hospital won't recommend to have that surgery performed.
Wyatt tries to offer some consolation to Lexi who complains about everything. Lexi wants to know if sex is so wonderful as everybody says. Wyatt says that its never as good as you expected.
Jonathan Locker (Dan Payne) a journalist, is making an interview but wants to talk only to Harper Sims (Michael McMillian), as he is the hero of the day. Wyatt and Sack take Lexi to see the setting sun. Lexi dies. When Martin calls Wyatt with good news, its too late.
Wyatt pays for a grant for Sacks son. Because of their argument, Sack and Wyatt fight each other. When the police arrive, they are covered in mud.
Alice Alden (Elizabeth Reaser) gets Wyatt so sign the permission for the elderly lady.
