Four childhood friends, living in northeast Los Angeles during the early 90's, discover the meaning of friendship while experiencing the comedic ups and turbulent downs of their impoverished lives. Sean: Undiscovered singer, fast-thinking womanizer, Jacob: Closet writer, romantically inept, Brent: Ex-rich kid, trying to fit in while contemplating an upscale marriage and Ricky: Heart-broken, underachiever, addicted to methamphetamine. When violence alters Sean, addiction and despair control Ricky, social status confronts Brent, and the pursuit of romance enthralls Jacob, the four realize that friendship plays the most important role. "M.O.G." is comedy/drama feature film, inspired by a true story.Written by

Are you sure you want to wind up with a loser?
Baby, don't worry, I'm a loser too.
But you're a woman, you hide it better.

I've seen handful of Independent movies. I usually don't go to the movies because the content these days just doesn't do it for me anymore. Comedies films are not funny, dramas seem to be too long winded and I usually just wait to see them on cable. A friend of mine dragged me to the Silverlake film festival to view this new film called M.O.G. Said is was funny, blah, blah. Well, most Independent movies really suck, but this one was different. Within the first few minutes I was chuckling a bit. As the movie continued I got wrapped up into these people so quickly I couldn't believe I was enjoying this movie. The humor really made it for me. Every few moments I found myself laughing out loud, and most movies never make me laugh. These people got into the most realistic and humorous situations I've seen in a movie in years. What I liked best was the reality of the story line and the way it was presented. This movie is very intelligent and very psychological. I laughed almost at every situation. It was so amazing to go to the movies again and have a nice time. This film was the best Independent movie I have ever seen. Studios should take note of this film. What a joy, thanks!
