Megatron develops a weapon that can permanently freeze Transformers in their vehicle form. He uses the weapon on the Autobots when they are racing and performing stunts for charity. One of the tree episodes (the other two being The Transformers: The Core (1985) and The Transformers: City of Steel (1985)) to have been animated by a mysterious "third" animation studio. All three of these episodes have a very unique animation quality, the frame-rates are high, yet at the same time the characters look much more cartoon-like than usual, they are proportioned wrong, have brighter colors and alternate color schemes. Some believe the animation was done by AKOM, yet that does not explain why these episodes look so different from the rest of their work. See more »


When the Autobots are "cured" of the effects of Megatron's gadget that disables their transformation, they all light up in a gold hue and transform. However during a long shot, they simply appear out of nowhere before transforming. Out of thin air, gold-colored Autobots appear, making it look like they teleported there. See more »
