Ugly Betty (2006–2010)
One of the most iconic Superman comic stories is getting, yet another, adaptation. When DC Animation first launched their direct to video films, Doomsday told a shorter verison of the tale. Now, ten years later, they're revisting the story with a more complete version in a two-part film release (much like they did for the incredible The Dark Knight Returns films).
The second part, Reign of the Supermen, will arrive sometime next year, but today they've announced that The Death of Superman will hit 4K Ultra HD/blu-ray on August 7, 2018 (which happens to be my birthday!). If you can't wait that long, you can snag it a bit early digitally on July 24th.

Patricia Heaton, “Everybody Loves Raymond” (2000-2001) — The only repeat winner in this category was Heaton, for playing the constantly irritable Debra Barone in “Everybody Loves Raymond.” Her first win came from submitting one of her most memorable episodes, “Bad Moon Rising,” in which Debra is grappling with Pms. Heaton was also nominated in 1999 and every year from 2002-2005.
Back in 2007, Superman: Doomsday began the party by telling a truncated account of the Man of Steel’s demise and resurrection. Awesome as that flick was, I can’t wait to see the story expanded into two films, those being The Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen, the latter of which will debut in 2019.
For the time being, we’re going to focus on the first in the two-part epic that’s providing a new perspective on one of the highest selling graphic novels of all time. Given that milestone, it came as no surprise when last week’s trailer reveal lit the internet ablaze, causing us to suspect that a formal announcement regarding the home video release was set to follow.
Thankfully, our assumption proved correct,
Executive-produced by Eva Longoria and based on a Spanish series, Grand Hotel stars Oscar nominee Demián Bichir (The Bridge) as Miami Beach hotel owner Santiago Mendoza, whose glamorous second wife Gigi (Devious Maids‘ Roselyn Sanchez) and adult children live a life of luxury inside the hotel’s walls. The upstairs/downstairs story also introduces us to the hotel’s loyal staff: “Wealthy and beautiful guests bask in luxury, but scandals, escalating debt and explosive secrets hide beneath the picture-perfect exterior,
The stakes for both networks are high. The U.S. Hispanic population represents $1.3 trillion in spending power, which is projected to grow to $1.9 trillion by 2022.
Univision, long dependent on Mexican media giant Televisa to provide its programming, has been playing catch up with NBCUniversal-owned Telemundo, which has been producing its own shows for years. To streamline the production of content across Televisa and Univision, Isaac Lee was
Sherlock Gnomes – Johnny Depp
From pirate to detective – title character Sherlock Gnomes is played by a very familiar face Johnny Depp. No stranger to family films, Depp has starred as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise since 2003, as well as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland and Rango. Outside of children’s films, Depp’s broad filmography includes classics such as What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Edward Scissorhands and Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

The project has been written by Patty Breen (Divorce) and takes place in London with Hayek portraying an ambassador-type in the world of international diplomacy. The half-hour series is being produced by Image Television for Amazon, and is eyeing a pilot commitment to series.
While this will mark Hayek’s first starring role on the small screen in the States, she has previously guest starred in Ugly Betty and 30 Rock.
Freaks and Geeks creator Feig is also developing the female-led comedy pilot Girls Code from Kim Rosenstock, and has the Anna Kendrick / Blake Lively thriller A Simple Favor set for release in September. Watch the trailer here.

On paper, this should be the perfect showcase for Amy Schumer: the title is taken from that girlishly hopeful song in the 1961 musical West Side Story delivered by Natalie Wood, whose gamine image is of course so different from Schumer’s. Yet at almost every stage, Schumer’s routine is weirdly restrained and inhibited due to the film’s high concept: that she becomes an aspirational success, against all the odds. It’s a plot imperative that works against the disaster, embarrassment and cynicism integral to Amy Schumer’s comedy.
The film is written by the romcom veterans Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn, with obvious borrowings from The Devil Wears Prada and Ugly Betty; they are making their joint feature directing debut, and Schumer has a producer credit.
The actress has signed on to lead and executive produce a comedy series from Feig and Imagine Television that is in the negotiations stages at Amazon, an individual with knowledge of the production tells TheWrap.
The currently untitled project was written by Patti Breen (HBO’s “Divorce”) — who will receive an executive producer credit — and is set in the world of international diplomacy in London, with Hayek playing an ambassador-type role.
Feig will executive produce and direct, with Breen receiving an executive producing credit as well. Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo will produce for Imagine with Hayek and her partner Jose “Pepe” Tamez producing under her Ventanarosa Productions banner.
A TV and film star in her native Mexico before getting her big break in Hollywood, Hayek has had recurring roles on ABC’s “Ugly Betty” — which she executive produced — and NBC’s “30 Rock.” However, this would be the Oscar-nominated actress’ first series leading role in the U.S. market. would be her first series starring role in the U.S.

Starting with the more recent development, it came to light in December that Quentin Tarantino is working on a Star Trek Movie with J.J. Abrams. The Pulp Fiction director pitched the idea to Abrams and the duo then took it to Paramount. The studio then assembled a writer's room to flesh out the idea and, ultimately, Mark L. Smith (The Revenant) was hired to pen
Only yesterday, we reported that at this years CinemaCon, Paramount Pictures announced that there would be at least two more films to come from the studio. With this news, it is looking more likely that Quentin Tarantino’s treatment probably won’t be the next to hit the big screen. The newest could very well fall into the current Star Trek world in which Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto play the young James Kirk and Spock. The most talked about plot for the film would involve James Kirk (Chris Pine) encountering his father (Chris Hemsworth) in a time travel/shift storyline.
