An action-packed drama about a Christian high school football coach who uses his undying faith to battle the giants of fear and failure. In six years of coaching, Grant Taylor has never led his Shiloh Eagles to a winning season. After learning that he and his wife Brooke face infertility, Grant discovers that a group of fathers are secretly organizing to have him dismissed as head coach. Devastated by his circumstances, he cries out to God in desperation. When Grant receives a message from an unexpected visitor, he searches for a stronger purpose for his football team. He dares to challenge his players to believe God for the impossible on and off the field. When faced with unbelievable odds, the Eagles must step up to their greatest test of strength and courage. What transpires is a dynamic story of the fight between faith and fear.Written by

When David is about to kick the 51 yard field goal in the championship game and his dad stands up, the camera pans back for a wide angle and the dad is the only person in that area. Then in a matter of seconds a man is right next to him asking if he needs help; this same man then magically disappears again and reappears deep within the stands to cheer for the field goal a few seconds later. I'm a Film Critic/Media Specialist. I review hundreds of films each year. It is often very disheartening to witness ALL the junk that is produced. This is the first film, since "October Sky", that touched the full range of human emotions. I left the theater inspired and uplifted. I would like to encourage everyone to see this film. This is a truly GREAT family film. You can take your children with NO apology. If you have been waiting for film that is SO good....you can even take your grandparents and not blush....this is it!. "Facing the Giants" is a GREAT sports film. The same crew that brought "Friday Night Lights" to the big screen...also filmed the action in this one. "Facing the Giants" is a GREAT film to encourage couples that may be struggling in their relationships. It will inspire today's youth to give their BEST in everything. I loved the layers of LIFE lessons throughout this picture. The sound track was excellent. I admire the courage and the quality of a film on such a small budget.
