Despite the Russo family's mixed ethnicities of Mexican and Italian, Selena Gomez (Alex) in real life is the only actor to have both ethnicities, whereas Jake T. Austin (Max) is Puerto Rican, Polish and Argentine, David Henrie (Justin) and David DeLuise (Jerry) are Italian while Maria Canals-Barrera (Theresa) is Cuban.
