The brash James T. Kirk tries to live up to his father's legacy with Mr. Spock keeping him in check as a vengeful Romulan from the future creates black holes to destroy the Federation one planet at a time.
After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction.
The Borg travel back in time intent on preventing Earth's first contact with an alien species. Captain Picard and his crew pursue them to ensure that Zefram Cochran makes his maiden flight reaching warp speed.
On the eve of retirement, Kirk and McCoy are charged with assassinating the Klingon High Chancellor and imprisoned. The Enterprise crew must help them escape to thwart a conspiracy aimed at sabotaging the last best hope for peace.
The Enterprise is diverted to the Romulan homeworld Romulus, supposedly because they want to negotiate a peace treaty. Captain Picard and his crew discover a serious threat to the Federation once Praetor Shinzon plans to attack Earth.
On the day of James T. Kirk's birth, his father dies on his damaged starship in a last stand against a Romulan mining vessel looking for Ambassador Spock, who in this time, has grown on Vulcan disdained by his neighbors for his half-human heritage. 25 years later, James T. Kirk has grown into a young rebellious troublemaker. Challenged by Captain Christopher Pike to realize his potential in Starfleet, he comes to annoy academy instructors like Commander Spock. Suddenly, there is an emergency on Vulcan and the newly-commissioned USS Enterprise is crewed with promising cadets like Nyota Uhura, Hikaru Sulu, Pavel Chekov and even Kirk himself, thanks to Leonard McCoy's medical trickery. Together, this crew will have an adventure in the final frontier where the old legend is altered forever as a new version of the legend begins.Written by

Once Nero realizes that he has time traveled into the past, rather than attacking the Kelvin, he should simply have warned Starfleet of the impending supernova so that work on the red matter device could be expedited (especially now that they HAVE red matter on board and no longer need to invent it all over again) to prevent the tragedy from happening the first time, thus saving his planet and all involved by getting the red matter device there on time, or relocating the population to another planet long before the supernova. The entire movie becomes redundant the moment Nero is told what the star date is. See more »
U.S.S. Kelvin, go for Starfleet Base.
Kelvin Crew Member:
Starfleet Base, we've sent you a transmission. Did you receive?
Kelvin, have you double-checked those readings?
Kelvin Crew Member:
Our gravitational sensors are going crazy here. You should see this. It looks like a lightning storm.
What you've sent us doesn't seem possible.
Kelvin Crew Member:
Yes ma'am. I understand. That's why we sent it.

The first part of the closing credits is styled after the opening credits of Star Trek (1966), where the starship Enterprise blasts off into space as a monologue describes its mission, and then the cast names appear as the famous "Star Trek" theme music plays. See more »
I know he is the Hollywood brass now, but what does this supreme hack have on the Hollywood brass that makes them give him all these assignments?
Does he have compromising photos? Is his new wife (now that he is divorced) one of them? Does he have a gun he points at people?
JJ Abrams is such an unoriginal, uncreative tool yet he gets to rip off Spielberg, gets Star Trek, gets Star Wars and more and yet he is so devoid of any integrity, any clue about the projects and brings no merit to his work.
Star Trek is here turned to Star Wars (but a bad one), Star Wars was destroyed by our buddy JJ here and everything else he touches is a script from the treasury department.
How does Mr Rip Off operate?
