Comedy Up

A spoof on "Cheers" and "Highway to Heaven", "Going Up" was a pilot for a series where the hang out spot was an elevator. Whether hanging out with friends or entertaining a date, the elevator was the place to be for the characters of this series – through this concept didn't sit well with their dates.

The elevator operator of "Going Up" was an angel who would help the other characters with their problems. Though the concept sounds cheesy, the smoothly written script played up the humour in all the right places. Cheese can work – as long as you're aware you're cheesy and you're using it to your advantage.
