Having long neglected the bar due to helping Beck with his gold medal training journey followed by his death, Ethan and Jen are financially strapped, they having to cut corners with the business to stay open yet afloat. Adrien gives Jen specifically what he says is Beck's signing bonus, despite Beck not ever having done any of the work for that contract. Jen has to decide if she will keep the money to pay the business bills, and if she does whether she will tell Ethan, who she knows would not have taken the money from a Varland. Despite being grateful, Nicole still cannot help but wonder why she was promoted to Concierge of VIP Client Services, after having initially been fired. Her first client is Steve, who Ryan muses Adrien issued as a test to see how Nicole would react. She has to decide how best to handle her difficult client, especially when he wants to party with new Varland employee Carrie.
