I recently discovered this TV movie. I do like the idea of imagining a story in Vietnam without putting the scheme of war forward or just by making discreet allusion to this part of History. I do like the characters, too, the way they play, the way they seem to be involved in the story. Moreover we almost could feel a kind of fullness emanating from the landscapes, a kind of freedom that we miss.. I could say that both social, political, ethical, historical and cultural matters were not so easy to "fit into each other" to write a sensitive scenario. This movie does not reflect what we would call a "cliché". Nowadays we need this kind of cinema to escape from routine and from daily scenes of violence. Thank You.
