John Travolta Plays a Rabid Movie Fan Stalking Devon Sawa in The Fred Durst Directed Film Moose

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is currently directing a new film in Alabama called Moose. The movie is inspired by a real-life story of a fan that was stalking Durst years ago.

John Travolta stars in the film as Moose, who is a "rabid movie fan obsessed with his favorite celebrity action hero." That action hero is played by Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Slc Punk). "As Moose’s obsession grows stronger, his fixation turns from stalking to ambition of destroying the star’s life — a story inspired by a real-life fan who stalked Durst many years ago."

This sounds like it will be an interesting movie. This seems like a different kind of role for Travolta to take on and it's great to see Devon Sawa land a solid role in a movie!

Durst previously directed The Longshots and The Education of Charlie Banks, both of which were decent films,

The underappreciated films of Jesse Eisenberg

To salute the incoming arrival of American Ultra, we salute some underrated treats from Jesse Eisenberg's back catalogue...

When Jesse Eisenberg was announced as Lex Luthor in Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice, it made instant sense. Not because he was bald, not because he looks like or Gene Hackman or anything, but just because he’s one of those actors whose screen presence is so perfectly formed. You know exactly what they’re going for with their Luthor, just by Eisenberg’s name. It’s Mark Zuckerberg vs Superman, the supergod vs the awkward genius.

But that’s not the only big action movie he’s got coming up. First he’s going to be in American Ultra, a unique stoner/sci-fi mash-up where he stars alongside Kristen Stewart (it's released in the UK on September 4th). Eisenberg first really burst into our consciousness in 2009 and 2010, where

The CW developing drama with Fred Durst

The CW network is developing an out of left field idea involving Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst. An hour long drama based on the life of Durst is currently in the works.

Titled The Noise, the show will chronicle the rise of a young artist in the 1990s who escapes a tumultuous home life and forms a wildly popular band with a unique sound. Durst will serve as co-executive producer on the script with Miles Feld writing. This is the second time Durst has tried to develop a series based on his life. CBS and Durst developed the sitcom Douchebag two years ago but it never went on to be a series.

Fred Durst is most known as the lead singer in the rock/rap band Limp Bizkit. They gained instant popularity with their singles "Nookie" and "Rollin'." Since then Durst has tried his hand in directing. He directed the

11 Super-Surprising Director Credits

A whole mess of factors goes into what projects a director takes on. A young up-and-comer might be happy just to get his first directing credit, regardless of what it might actually be about. A director who's been around the block might pick up a project way outside of their wheelhouse just for the experience. And the promise of a couple bucks doesn't hurt, either.

In other words, sometimes you just can't pin a filmmaker down. Here are some rather odd and unexpected director-movie pairings.

1. Sidney Lumet, 'The Wiz' (1978)

Between "12 Angry Men," "Network," "Dog Day Afternoon" and "Serpico," it's fair to call the late Sidney Lumet an all-time great. But considering most of Lumet's career was dedicated to crime and drama, "The Wiz," a musical "The Wizard of Oz" adaptation set in Harlem (and, later, Oz), is a definite oddball in his canon. Starring such powerhouses of African-American culture as Michael Jackson,

Elijah Wood, Brendan Fraser & Many More Tell 'Pawn Shop Chronicles'

Last year we heard that former Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst was looking to continue his low key career behind movie cameras (after directing The Longshots and The Education of Charlie Banks) with a dark comedy called Pawn Shop Chronicles starring Paul Walker. It sounded pretty outlandish following multiple interconnected stories centered around a missing wedding ring which leads to a wild-goose chase involving meth addicts, skinheads and an Elvis impersonator. But the project never came together, and now the film is in the hands of Wayne Kramer (Running Scared, The Cooler) with one huge ensemble cast. Though it doesn't sound like Paul Walker is involved anymore in the report from Deadline, plenty of names have surfaced in his place including Brendan Fraser, Elijah Wood, Matt Dillon, Vincent D'Onofrio, Thomas Jane, Chi McBride, Lukas Haas, Pell James, Kevin Rankin, D.J. Qualls, Michael Cudlitz, Norman Reedus and Ashlee Simpson. That's quite

Jesse Eisenberg Is Leaving ICM For CAA

Exclusive: Jesse Eisenberg is exiting ICM after more than a dozen years with the agent who helped put him in The Social Network which earned him a Best Actor Oscar nomination. ICM hoped it could hold him, but sources tell me he was surrounded by a bunch of CAA clients on his current film in production Now You See Me and “CAA started hitting on him and he’s buying the pitch”. ICM had even scheduled a dinner with the actor tonight but the bad news came down just now. The feeling inside ICM is that talent agent Joanne Wiles had repped Eisenberg “as well as can be” including “doing an incredible job getting him that part” as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network. Among his pics have been The Squid And The Whale, The Education of Charlie Banks, Adventureland, and Zombieland. She also recently negotiated several “huge

TV ratings: 'Who's Still Standing' improves for NBC, but CBS reruns lead Monday

Fast national ratings for Monday, Dec. 26, 2011

The day after Christmas brought NBC a bigger audience for the game show "Who's Still Standing?," although its adults 18-49 numbers are still fairly modest. CBS, however, led the broadcast networks on the night with a slate of repeats.

The Eye averaged 6.6 million viewers and a 4.1 rating/7 share in households in primetime, topping NBC's 5 million viewers and 2.9/5. ABC (3.8 million, 2.3/4) came in third. (Numbers for ABC and NBC may change some as affiliates in Atlanta and New Orleans, respectively, carried the "Monday Night Football" telecast.) Fox (2.9 million, 1.8/3) took fourth, and The CW trailed with 741,000 viewers and a 0.5/1.

CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 1.9 rating. NBC (1.4) was the only other net to break the 1.0 mark; ABC (0.9), Fox (0.8) and The CW (0.3) all fell below the line.

Monday hour by hour:

Susan Sarandon's Daughter, Actress Eva Amurri, Gets Hitched!

Actress Eva Amurri and former soccer star Kyle Martino had a sweet Southern wedding in South Carolina over the weekend. Martino is a former pro soccer player turned commentator on Espn, while Amurri is known for roles in "Californication," "Saved!" and "The Education of Charlie Banks."

Amurri's mom Susan Sarandon hosted the wedding, along with her former partner Tim Robbins (the longtime couple broke up in 2009 after 23 years together). Anti-death penalty advocate Sister Helen Prejean performed the ceremony. If you'll recall, Sarandon won an Oscar for her role as Prejean in the Robbins-directed drama "Dead Man Walking." Amurri played Prejean at the age of 9.

Amurri told InStyle in January that she was working on a book "about how overwhelming being engaged is for a modern woman … I realized once I got engaged, that everyone is overwhelmed, but nobody talks about it. I'm going to try and write this book as

Limp Bizkit Singer Fred Durst To Star In CBS Sitcom

Show's tentative title is 'Douchebag' and would follow a rock star dad and his family.

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has long complained that people have treated him like a music industry joke, a punch line to the question, "Seriously, what's with that dude in the backward red baseball cap?"

But the nu-metal maestro may have the final laugh thanks to a deal he recently signed with CBS and CBS TV Studios to develop a half-hour sitcom. According to Deadline Hollywood, Durst will star in and produce the untitled show, which has a not-ready-for-primetime working title that perfectly fits the "Nookie" singer's self-deprecating image: "Douchebag."

CBS has committed to looking over a script for the show, which centers on a "rock legend looking for balance between his high-profile lifestyle and trying to raise a family." The script is being written
