Trivia

Prior to the demise of his company, Quick Loan Funding, Sadek was forced to sell off all his car collection, including those featured in the film. One of them, the crash damaged Enzo was acquired by Texan dealer, Matt Groner of Matthews Auto Sales. As the main tub was intact with no chassis straitening, the Enzo only needed new authentic parts bolted in, worth $91,000. The car has since found a new owner. See more »

Goofs

The film describes the races between 2 or more cars as 'drag racing', which is incorrect as it is in fact a straight line acceleration contest over a fixed distance, usually 1/4 mile. No corners, no interaction between the cars. Also it may be incorrect to describe the races as 'street race' as the first held between cars is a closed road race, however unsanctioned otherwise illegally run, judging by the lack of safety amenities drivers and cars are required to have in a 200mph race such as helmet, 3 layer Nomex suit, rollcage and on-board fire extinguishers. The second gambling race is 'open road' race, similar to Nevada's Silver State Classic, which unlike the actual race, lacking in the required safety amenities. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Natasha Martin: There are cars that get you from point A to point B. And then there are cars that get you from point A to point B really fast. Fast cars cost big money, and with millions of dollars at stake, there are people who'll do anything to win. People who take risks and never play it safe.

Most horrible movie ever made
17 April 2007 | by See all my reviews

Apparently Hollywood is just handing out money to anyone with a camera and the ability to speak. This movie was mind numbingly bad. The casting was terrible, the acting unspeakable, and the story filled with holes. Script? who needs script? I was surprised that the movie wasn't as verbally vulgar as I thought it would be, however I got enough shots of T&A to last me a lifetime. The movie was like listening to a 19 year old street racer with ADD (who decided to buy a car instead of go to college) tell a story. Being so poorly scripted, I thought the two brothers in the film were lovers at first. The scenes at the racetrack, along with the main female actor in the film kept making me think of Herbie: Fully Loaded. This is the kind of film is what Grindhouse modeled itself after...only the writers thought they were being serious.
