Anika Noni Rose Met With ‘Wreck It Ralph 2′ Team About Restoring the Disney Princess’ Darker Skin Tone
Actress Anika Noni Rose released a statement Tuesday revealing that approached Disney about changes made to Princess Tiana’s skin color and facial features for “Wreck It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet.” Last week, Disney announced that it restored Princess Tiana’s original features following massive public outcry, but it is now clear that Rose played a pivotal role in affecting that change. Introduced in 2009’s “The Princess and the Frog,” Tiana is the first and only black Disney Princess. Her likeness was based on Rose herself, as she revealed in a statement made on Twitter.

“While making “The Princess and the Frog,” she said, animator Mark Henn based the character’s look on Rose, and asked her if there were any features she wanted Tiana to have. “Among the first things I said were a round nose, full lips, and that she be left-handed,” said Rose. She added

‘Ralph Breaks The Internet’ Receives Criticism For Appearance Of Princess Tiana
In the latest trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet Sarah Silverman’s Vanellope von Schweetz meets a who’s who roster of Disney princesses. From Cinderella to Mulan to Moana, it’s great to see all of these iconic characters in one place — especially Princess Tiana, Disney’s first black princess. But some are having problems with her appearance — particularly her hair.

Many fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the appearance of Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog in the trailer saying that she isn’t properly representative of black women.

“Y’all don’t understand how important Princess Tiana is to Black girls,” said one Twitter user. “We finally had a Disney princess that looked like us, and now, she doesn’t. They gave her Eurocentric features and turned her into a racially ambiguous woman. It’s a no from me, dawg.”

In the first trailer,

Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot Climbs Aboard Ralph Breaks The Internet

Described as something of a big sister to the wide-eyed Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman), Gadot is another exciting addition to the ensemble cast of Ralph Breaks the Internet, which takes place a full six years after its predecessor and thrusts Wreck-It Ralph into the midst of the world wide web.

Here’s what the DC actress had to say over on Twitter:

I’m so excited to finally announce that I am playing a character named Shank in Disney’s #RalphBreaksTheInternet hitting theaters this November!

DC's Super Pets Movie Is Happening with Lego Batman Writer

If you like superheroes and animals equally, you're in luck. Warner Bros. is currently developing an animated Super Pets movie, with writer Jared Stern penning the script. Throughout its history, DC Comics has given their various heroes animal counterparts that have often been accomplices on various adventures with the non-animal do-gooders. However, there were times when the pets united to form a group known as the Super Pets and Warner Bros. is hoping to spin that idea into some gold with a new animated feature.

Jared Stern already has a proven track record within the DC universe, having penned the screenplay for last year's The Lego Batman Movie, which is arguably the best DC movie that Warner Bros. has made in the last five years. Stern also penned The Lego Ninjago Movie, the upcoming animated movie Smallfoot, as well as live-action comedies like The Internship, The Watch and Mr. Popper's Penguins.

The story will focus on the pets of the classic DC heroes. According to Collider, it’s "unclear whether Stern will use DC’s Legion of Super-Pets or the Cartoon Network series as the basis for the script, or whether he’ll create new characters better suited to his vision for the film."

The Super-Pets team first appeared together in Adventure Comics #293 (February 1962), though most of the members had appeared in earlier issues. Over the years, those members included Krypto the Super-Dog, Streaky the Super-Cat, Beppo the Super-Monkey and Comet the

The new trailer for Wreck-It Ralph 2 is here and it puts more focus on Sarah Silverman's Vanellope von Schweetz this time around. John C. Reilly's titular character is shown off quite a bit along with some new characters, but Vanellope steals the show when she meets up with all of the Disney Princesses, who seem to be more than a little bitter. This is the same footage that fans were shown at the D23 Expo last summer and proved to be pretty popular, especially when all of the surviving voices of the Disney Princesses appeared on stage together.

In the new trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet, Vanellope along with her best friend Ralph, venture into the world of the internet through an ethernet cable in the Litwak's Video Arcade. There's many good scenes in the new footage, but the best has to be when Vanellope finds herself
