Storyline

Lynn is going to a concert with her friend and is waiting to get the car for the evening... but Willie and Kate are late and the girls are in danger of being late for the concert. Then Willie and Kate arrive... with the help a tow truck. The tow truck man estimates that the repairs will cost way over 3,000 dollars - not good. Lynn is upset and wishes for another car. ALF asks why Willie doesn't buy Lynn a car and Willie has to explain that they can't afford it - especially since a lot of money went into repairing the garage roof because ALF crash-landed on it. Lynn wants to start saving money by getting a job, but her parents aren't sure she can balance school and work. And she can't. Cue ALF to the rescue... or should we say a disaster? Goofs

In this episode, apparently every Motel 6 in America is holding a beekeepers convention. Motel 6 in the 1980s was a notoriously no-frills hotel chain that went so far as to not even include a TV in their rooms unless you paid extra for it, and like actual roadside motels, did not hold conventions of any kind at them. Furthermore, even if they did, it is extremely unlikely that every location in any hotel chain would be holding the exact same convention at the same time. See more »

Quotes

Brian Tanner: [as everyone is about to leave to find Alf, the phone rings, and he answers it]
[Into phone]
Brian Tanner: Hello? Just a second.
[Turning to him]
Brian Tanner: Dad? It's for you.
Willie Tanner: We don't have time. Tell him I'll call him back.
Brian Tanner: [Shrugs, then into phone] He say's he'll have to call you later, Alf.
[At that Willy and Kate run straight to the phone]
