Arriving at a canyon to find an old fashioned fossil hunt, Satoshi, Shigeru and the gang decide to join in. But the Rocket-Dan arrives and intends to blow the canyon up. Satoshi, Pikachu, and the Rocket-Dan fall into a pit which is full of awakened ancient Pokémon. Their only hope may rest in Satoshi's disobedient Lizardo, which evolves into a powerful, yet still disobedient Lizardon to defeat a raging Ptera. In the end, the ancient Pokémon are sealed away once more (along with a terrified Team Rocket) and Officer Junsa dismisses the entire event as a side effect caused by Purin's singing. Satoshi, however, finds a rare Pokémon egg in the chaos and keeps it. Written by Michael L Ballard, edited by Toby R Clark
