Storyline

Atlantis has responded to a distress call of the planet Taranis. They are living in a compound that was created by the Ancients. Chancellor Lycus decided one year ago to put the shield up since the news of Wraith attacks broke out, but now the shield generator is giving trouble. While McKay tries to repair it with the help of Taranian engineer Norina, several earthquakes shake the city. He finds out there's something really wrong. Meanwhile Lycus is giving Sheppard, Teyla and Ronon a tour of the facility. He shows them a hangar, inside is an Ancient warship. Sheppard and Weir think forming an alliance might be the best way to get their hands on it. Written by Arnoud Tiele (imdb@tiele.nl)

Dr. Beckett states that the stargate was swallowed up by magma. However, as it was on the surface of the planet, he should have said that it was lava, not magma. Magma is underground, lava is above ground. See more »

Quotes

Lt. Colonel John Sheppard: We don't have time to wait for the Daedelus. How are those engines coming?
Dr. Rodney McKay: Not even close.
Lt. Colonel John Sheppard: Well then I guess we're all going to die.
Dr. Rodney McKay: Oh, you're doing that on purpose.
Lt. Colonel John Sheppard: What?
Dr. Rodney McKay: Creating an impossible task that my ego will force me to overcome.
Lt. Colonel John Sheppard: Yes, yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. It has nothing at all to do with saving the lives these people, it's all about you. Get your ass back to work and FIX THOSE DAMN ENGINES!
