- A deranged wedding videographer takes a bride and groom hostage after they've called off their wedding. He makes them watch his footage in hopes that they will fall back in love and get married so he can finish his "film".
- The last thing Chris and Kristin expected was the role their wedding video would play in determining whether they would end up spending the rest of their lives together. Chris, a superstitious high school teacher with several bizarre quirks, and Kristin, a gorgeous dont mess with me sportscaster, have broken up. Neither is taking it very well. Mysteriously, they are both kidnapped and taken to a dark warehouse. Who could possibly be behind this dastardly (and very odd) plot? Their videographer, Virgil Crumb a crazed man who believes Chris and Kristin ruined his wedding video. He demands a happy ending and forces them to watch his incomplete video hoping that they will see the error of their ways. This is no ordinary wedding video. Virgil has created a full-on documentary about the couple. No conversation is private every kiss, every argument is videotaped. Virgil traces the true story of the love between this couple by using interviews with their friends and family, re-enacting scenes with professional actors, and even staging a puppet show. He even captures Chriss several ill-fated attempts at proposing. We also see the wedding preparations. Kristin does battle with her mother for control, while Chris just wants to be included. The stress and chaos inherent in any wedding start to bring out fundamental problems in their relationship. "Who is this person I'm going to marry?" Virgils insistence on creating cinematic moments certainly doesnt help. Finally, all of their issues and all of the family dramas come to a head as both Chris and Kristin call the wedding off.
