Funniest episode from Season One
26 May 2012 | by See all my reviews

May I say that A Fair Trial is one of the funniest episodes from the whole series and possibly an example of sheer comedy in 50's television. It is not only a kid's show but also for the intelligent aficionados. Great performances from all but again Sargento Garcia as played by Henry Calvin steals the show. Fine acting from guest Sebastian Cabot and the usual fare for Williams and Guy Sheldon.

No spoilers here but there is a funny supper including a visual gag involving an apple and a pig... or two. I saw this episode from the colorized version used for syndication, but I guess the original black & white version looks great also. Zorro Stands as a landmark of early television shows and it's naiveté is so appalling that I plan to watch the whole series with my family. Did I gave a fair trial?
