He's just Dan Duryea
6 December 2016 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

Dan Duryea who played some of the nastiest villains in the west on the big and small screen is one nasty dude in this Zane Grey Theater film. He's got reason to be nasty, he's just busted out of Yuma prison where he was scheduled to hang in two days. To top it all off he was innocent.

But he's also Dan Duryea. And as girlfriend Carole Matthews points out he got convicted by the jury because he's mean and nasty. That happens a lot in real life as well. Even though the eye witness testimony that convicted Duryea was perjured.

There are a few people who want Duryea dead ASAP and they won't wait for the hangman. Fortunately he figures that out. More I will not say.

Good performance by Duryea who never delivers a bad one.
