    Storyline

    Edit
Mona cheerfully visits the hotel her brother Cornelius Robinson invested all their savings in, only to find it's a miserably-run dump. Still, she's charmed enough by happier hotel-memories and the hunky naive bell-hop-waiter to give it a go, making the most of experience and people-skills. —KGF Vissers

    • Trivia
This episode was a pilot for a potential spin-off starring Katherine Helmond. But the producers felt the departure of 'Mona' would highly affect the series, so the character was rejoined in the next episode.

    One of the better episodes!!!
Imagine that! Who's the Boss? Minus the annoying Samantha Micelli and minus the over-hyped romance. How I would have loved for this sitcom to take off! The old cleaning lady was a very cute actress! (I wonder if she clashed with Katherine Helmond?) There was the bell-hop comic relief. The brother was a decent actor and I enjoyed the dynamics with Mona. Loved Mona's pink boudoir. It was off to a great start. (I would have also enjoyed WTB? Better with less Mona.) Sadly it was never to be. I never EVER liked The Golden Girls. They stole this idea. They ran wit it. And it made for a GREAT sitcom, minus the very annoying Dorothy: The Golden Palace. And I loved it and watched every episode when they had it on YouTube. (Never ever heard of it, back when!) Again: a real pity this show didn't do it first, but Betty White was amazing. We would have had 2 competing shows on the same topic, with two old ladies managers. (Who said old actresses can't find a break?! This is proof!) This episode ends on a great note, too. Literally AND figuratively! And Mona looked gorgeous in that bright pink one-piece suit. (Overalls? I don't know the names of women's clothes.) A solid 9/10!
