Morgan Woodward

Watching the re-showings of The Waltons on MeTV & Hallmark channel, I've seen 'The Moonshiner' a few times and each time I am impressed by Morgan Woodward as cousin Boone, it is a great portrayal of an old man, even though Woodward was only 53 years old at the time, he played a old man of nearly 80 masterfully. Woodward is a very versatile actor, he could play villains, vulnerable men, and sometimes a good man, in just about every genre from westerns to drama to scifi / fantasy; I've come to really respect his body of work and am surprised he never received much recognition from the industry awards cartel.

One of Morgan Woodward's (Boone Walton) most iconic roles was as "Boss Godfrey" in the 1967 film, "Cool Hand Luke." Ralph Waite portrayed a naive, young prisoner in the same film.

Goofs
Daisy made a trip to return John-Boy's engagement ring but viewers never saw him give her one.
