Several women are being encouraged to commit murders, guided by an unknown voice, one that calls himself The Shepherd, a figure of influence and power, the victims have one thing in common, their Doctor.
It's incredible, whenever I watch a great episode of a show, there's always the name of Ed Whitmore attached to it, talk about prolific. I am watching Shadowplay for the first time since its original release, I watch this show regularly, this one though I can't.
First episode, as brilliant as I remember it being, what a cracking start, it's such a bleak and chilling story.
It feels like that last of the classic stories, after this story, things would change a lot, Boyd in particular.
There's a lot of mystery and intrigue here, I initially have no idea who The Shepherd is, and what his reason is.
Superb acting, Paul Kaye, Eve Best, and the regular team, class.
This had to be a newer 9/10, the follow up episode takes it up a notch.
