Storyline

The Virginian and John Grainger accompanied by his vacationing granddaughter Elizabeth go to Texas near Mexico to inspect cattle. While looking for a doctor outlaws spot The Virginian who their leader Harge Talbot holds responsible for the death of the his younger brother Jamie seven years ago in a San Antonio bank robbery. Harge wanted the doctor to help his pregnant wife deliver their first baby but there is no doctor. He sends some of the men back to kidnap The Virginian but instead they kidnap Elizabeth to force The Virginian to go to Harge's ranch in Mexico. With Elizabeth kidnapped The Virginian agrees to return to the ranch in Mexico although he doesn't know why Harge wants him but he does trust Harge. Once at the ranch he learns Harge blames him for informing on the gang about their failed bank robbery attempt where the law was waiting for them resulting in Jamie's death.
