The Little Rascals
28 January 2020 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

It starts with an alternative comedian Friso Jongkind performing in a club. Outside are two god botherers hassling the club goers.

When Friso is found strangled, Van der Valk becomes involved. Later Friso's ex wife is also found dead and their daughter is being stalked.

The manager of the club where Friso performed is acting suspiciously but he is later killed.

Van der Valk finds out that they all belonged to a group called The Little Rascals at University in the 1960s. One of them is now in the police, another is a university lecturer.

Maybe someone is after the members of The Little Rascals or the killer might be one of them. One of them has just been released from prison.

I do think that the feature length affects the pace of this episode. Tension is strangled and replaced by padding. This could had been a tighter 90 minutes episode.
