In this sixth episode the intrigue focuses more on Evelyn, the mother of Charlie and Alan. We learn it more on her and for once she(it) seems more human after his(her, its) loving break even if it is short-lived because she(it) always remains very breakable and incisive. The scene(stage) of the meeting between both families is the scene(stage) pivot of the episode, it shows itself rather funny even if we would have been able to hope even better. A deep point(headland) towards the end of the episode is inserted well. In light an episode which is situated in the good average of the series due to Charlie always so spiritual and hard-hitting in its dry humor.

The One Where Evelyn Stays Over...

Warning: Spoilers
I liked this episode. I thought it was an interesting storyline. It's funny because the characters of Charlie, and Evelyn could definitely date members of the same family. It was a statistically improbability that they never would, considering how much they "date".
In this episode, Evelyn commandeer the men over to her house for dinner, where she will present them to the new man she's dating. Unfortunately, it doesn't go well. It turns out that Charlie dated this man's daughter (who's also in attendance), who is not in a very forgiving mood. Evelyn eventually loses her new man which causes her to depressed. Alan feels obligated to invite her over to the beach house, where sadly for the boys, she makes life a living hell.
Best part of the episode: Nothing in particular.
Worst part of the episode: Nothing in particular.
Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.

Oh Mother where for art thou?

Not the best episode of this shows first season, but then again I never found myself warming to the mother character played by Holland Taylor in the first place, and wasn't annoyed when her screen time got cut down in subsequent years.
This though remains a decent episode, and a fine example of how good the show was back at the start.
There's even unusually for 'Two and a Half Men' a bit of a sentimental finale, you could perhaps argue too sentimental. It is however lovely to see at this early stage the writers trying to flesh the Charlie character out. Sadly they would later give up and just make him a self/ex obsessed pain.
