Diana Ross and The Supremes play a trio of nuns, one of whom is a native of the village where they hope to build a hospital. The leader of the village is wary of Sister Therese because she left their belief and way of life for a new one. Also, the nuns do not realize that the white man claiming to be helping them actually wants to take over the village land for his own use.
