Storyline

Roland Trent is in love with Anna, who is gradually losing her sight but could have an operation to save it. Unfortunately it is not cheap. Roland is married to Vivienne but she is no more in love with him than he is with her. Furthermore she controls the purse-strings and is initially not keen to help the Other Woman, though eventually she agrees to finance the operation, but only if Roland never sees Anna again. Roland, however, has other ideas to get the best of both worlds. Written by don @ minifie-1

About the author
1 January 2007 | by leewonraSee all my reviews

This author was actually my uncle.

He was a wonderfully talented man, and wrote many short stories. He lived in Surrey, England for the majority of his latter years, but spent his earlier years in India. He had two sisters and a brother (one sister being my mother) and was the eldest of these. Having lived my life in New Zealand, I had the good fortune to meet him in England in 1977, and was most impressed with his quick wit and obvious talent. This story definitely captures ones imagination, and keeps you thinking and wondering to the end! If you enjoyed this story, you can access many of his collection through the English (UK) version of 'Readers Digest', named Argosy, from those years. These were also brought out on audio tape for the blind.

10 out of 10 Uncle Bob!
