Storyline

Jim Hardie is sent to Rondo after Wells Fargo learns the office is to be held up that night by the Holley gang. The agent there knows nothing about it until he is surprised by Hardie. Hardie explains his plan for catching Holley and his gang. The two men along with the Sheriff wait for the men to break into the office which has $5,000 stored there.Hardie is able to capture Holley after a fight as another man fires at him and runs for his horse. Hardie fires one shot killing the man. Holley says he doesn't know the man implying Hardie killed an innocent bystander. They learn the man is Harry Borkman who is an ex-outlaw with a small ranch at Rio Nada where his son Matt is the Sheriff. Although he is cleared, he decides to take the body to the widow and try to determine why the man was at Rondo. Once there his reception was far from friendly as he tries to gather information.
