Jim Hardie is riding shotgun guard on a shipment of $20,000 in gold that Wells Fargo is afraid the Comanche Stelman gang will try to steal. At a stop they pickup a married couple returning east to Missouri, Army Major Dennis Keel being escorted to Fort Laramie for a trial on whether he is guilty of massacring Cheyenne women and children and cargo - a 14 pound baby girl named Angie being shipped to her grandparents. On the trail they stop at an Indian lance from Long Knife, a Cheyenne Chief. Hardie talks to him and learns he wants Major Keel but Hardie refuses to turn him over. The stage leaves unharmed although the Cheyennes fire at them. Once into open territory Hardie and the driver Keever think they may be in the clear. At a stage stop they enter the building to find Comanche Stelman's gang there waiting for them. The gang ties everyone up and prepares to leave only to find themselves under attack by the Cheyenne. They are forced to return to the building, untie everyone and fight ...
