Storyline

After a major robbery of a Wells Fargo shipment on a train near Globe, Arizona, Jim Hardie is sent there to help guard a $20,000 payroll shipment going by stage. As he is riding his horse there, he decides to stop overnight at a waterhole before continuing to Globe the next day. As he prepares to make a fire, a man, Quirt Johnson, rides up saying he recognizes Hardie. Hardie, relaxing his guard, finds himself being taken prisoner by Johnson and his two partners. They tie Hardie with rawhide strips and Johnson takes his identification papers plus his horse. They leave one man to guard Hardie while Johnson goes to Globe where Pat Denton, the Wells Fargo clerk, recognizes him as Hardie to the agent, Cliff Harmon. Johnson tricks the agent into opening the safe and letting him see the combination. When Pat fakes being sick, the agent goes for a doctor and they steal the payroll. Hardie during the night is able to escape by wetting the rawhide but can he catch up in time to stop the robbery? Written by Anonymous
