Trivia

Part of several episodes that were not purchased for broadcast in France, in the '70s. The problem with this one is France has no concept of "dating". (In France, you go out as a group of friends, if two individuals then find that they like each other, they go out, but remain exclusive and others know not to meddle as, in the Hexagon, there is no such thing as "dating around" two people or more, at the same time. The woman would be branded a harlot, the man a player. Either way, the deal would end there and they would acquire a "reputation" whereby others would know to stay away.) Here, when confronted by her, Hutch tells the woman in his triangle (with Starsky) that yes, he has "slept with more than woman in the same week" but that he "draws the line at falling in love with more than one woman at the same time". Even for the seventies, this would have been too strange (and badly seen) a concept to dub, that would have potentially destroyed the character in French audiences' hearts. So it was deemed not fit for airing in France, where self-respect and honesty are but some of the main values in love relationships. See more »

So so sad to see these favorite tv tough guy cops with special bond for each other at each others throats this whole episode. Hutch was a jerk and it was sad to see. I suggest skipping this episode.
