Goofs

When the second stargate is having its iris welded on a number of people observing are looking directly at the welders without wearing eye protection. This is something that a person should never do, as looking at the light from an arc welder, even indirectly, causes immediate discomfort and can also cause permanent damage to the retina. The intensity of the light coming from an arc welder is several times that of the sun's light as seen from Earth. See more »

The Weather Control Device
3 September 2015 | by claudio_carvalhoSee all my reviews

Jack, Sam, Daniel and Teal'c return to a primitive planet to examine a device capable to control the weather left by aliens to the inhabitants. However, the natives inform that the SG-1 has stolen the device and now they are freezing. They return to the SG Command and discover that the weather on Earth is abruptly changing. They suspect the National Intelligence Department has sent agents to the planet to steal the device and now is performing experiments to learn how to use it. Further, they suspect that the NID has activated the second Stargate from Antarctica. Will the SG-1 be capable to save the natives from the freezing planet?

In "Touchstone", the conflicts between the SG Command and the NID reach a top, with the NID using agents posing of the SG-1 to steal a device important for the survival of an alien race. The plot has action and suspense and the plot is well resolved with the second Stargate moved to the guard of the SG Command and the SG-1 saving the planet from extinction. My vote is seven.
