Trivia

The plot of this episode is similar to many adventures of Captain Picard and his Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) crew, including Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Ensigns of Command (1989), Star Trek: The Next Generation: Journey's End (1994), and Star Trek: Insurrection (1998). There is a small community threatened by a larger group who claim the land and threaten a choice between exile and either extermination or a drop in living quality, and the star ship crew must decide how best to settle the conflict, knowing that they cannot please everyone involved.
