Storyline

It's been 4 years since Sisko's wife died in the battle at Wolf 359 and he is a bit down lately. He's wandering around the Promenade when suddenly he gets approached by a woman, Fenna. Sisko feels attracted to her, but she disappears as suddenly as she appeared. A while later he sees her again, but when he asks her personal questions she disappears again. Sisko wants to know her secret and asks Odo to investigate. Meanwhile Dax is working with professor Gideon Seyetik. He's famous for his terraforming projects, but thinks he's good at everything. He's on Deep Space Nine to prepare for his most ambitious project. Seyetik wants to re-ignite the dead star Epsilon 119. He invites the crew over for a dinner his wife prepared. Quotes

[first lines]
Commander Sisko: Personal log, stardate 47329.4 - I finally realize why I've had trouble sleeping the last few nights. Yesterday was the 4th anniversary of the massacre at Wolf 359, the fourth anniversary of Jennifer's death. I'm not sure what bothers me more, the date itself, or the fact that it almost passed unnoticed.

A Dull OST-like Episode
1 October 2018 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

Imagine Captain Kirk getting all emotional over a woman who keeps disappearing at the worst times. Imagine Richard Kiley arriving on the Enterprise, a ridiculous megalomaniac. Sisko plays Kirk here and lets himself fall for what is basically a ghost. The whole thing couldn't be any more boring. Once again, if people would only communicate we wouldn't have all these strange silences.
