Trivia

Veteran character actor Charles Hallahan was originally scheduled to play Bilby but, unfortunately, was stricken with a fatal heart attack just a few days before filming was set to begin. Actor Nick Tate, who had also originally auditioned for the role but lost out to Hallahan, stepped in at the last minute and agreed to fill the role "in memory" of the fallen actor. See more »

Actor Nick Tate stands out in unusual episode

Bilby is well portrayed by Nick Tate. Another review here notes that it is an odd choice for a Federation engineer to go undercover to infiltrate a mob. I agree although it is a nice change of venue from the station.
