It is revealed that Casey McCall was offered the chance to replace Conan O'Brien on NBC's 12:37am series, Late Night with Conan O'Brien (1993). One of the inspirations for his character, Craig Kilborn, actually did replace Tom Snyder as host of the 12:37am late night show on CBS. The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn (1999) ran from 1999 - 2004.
