Storyline

Christopher Moltisanti and his friend Brendan Filone hijack a truckload of DVD players but unfortunately the truck and the merchandise belongs to a company that is Uncle Junior's protection. He's not a happy man and it takes a sit down arbitrated by Jackie Aprile to calm things down. Christopher and Brendan don't like the results however. Brendan decides to go off on his own but it leads to a royal mess. Tony's mother has a fire in her kitchen, confirming in the minds of everyone except her that she can no longer live without some type of assisted care. They try a companion but that doesn't work. Tony goes back to plan A but continues to feel guilt over the situation. One of AJ's teacher has his car stolen out of the school parking lot and Tony decides to try and recover it for him. Big Pussy and Paulie are sent out to solve the problem. Written by garykmcd

Quotes

Brendan Filone: Yo, money, we said we'd meet out front. You're not even dressed.
Christopher Moltisanti: I'm taking a pass.
Brendan Filone: What? It's Italian suits, Christopher!
Christopher Moltisanti: There was a time in my life when being with the Tony Soprano crew was all I ever dreamed of. So what am I doing?
Brendan Filone: Come on, it's five fifteen.
Christopher Moltisanti: Maybe one reason things are so fucked up in the organization these days is guys running off, not listening to middle management.
Brendan Filone: Fuck Tony. That's a quote.
Christopher Moltisanti: We have to stick together, why be in a crew? Why be a gangster?
Brendan Filone: Hey coach? Suck...

Tony must deal with Uncle Junior over Chris and his friend Brendan's hijacking of trucks under Junior's protection. At the same time, Tony has to cope with his increasingly senile mother, who sets her house on fire and runs over a neighbor. His confrontation with her over where to send her is priceless. Tony hires a nanny for his mother, who turns out to be Jamaican. When he first meets her, he tells her to lay off the ganja while working for his mom. Lovely. AJ's teacher has his car stolen, so Tony sends the boys out to retrieve it. And so on and so on. Maybe a little too much going on but we start to get a feel for some of the secondary characters, like Sil who has a memorable "Godfather" moment in front of a mirror. Chris makes it plain he is going to be hard to control. A near-great episode, but way too busy
