    • Trivia
When Jeff Albertson (Comic Book Guy) spills his drink on Radioactive Man #1000, he explains that it repels soda onto lesser comics. The "lesser comics" that the soda bounces onto are Bongo Comics, the publisher of Simpsons comics.
    • Goofs
Jeff Albertson (Comic Book Guy) asks if there is a word in Klingon for "loneliness." He then pulls a book out of his pocket and makes a noise that sounds vaguely Klingon. However, Marc Okrand's official Klingon dictionary does not list a word for "loneliness." Despite the most recent revision being in 1992, no updated dictionary has been released since.

[Bart and Milhouse are watching a secret tape of police informants]

Ned Flanders: I really hate to be a snitch.

Chief Wiggum: Don't worry, your yellow-bellied ratting will be held in the strictest confidence.

Ned Flanders: Well, in that case, my neighbor Homer released a radioactive ape into my house. It's, uh, taken over the top floor.

Bart: It wasn't dad's fault. The ape tricked him.

    Lack of direction?
I'll be honest, the first part of this episode was very, very funny, and I genuinely thought we were going to get a decent episode staring Comic Book Guy, however the second part of this episode is not that great...

It appears to me that during this era of the Simpsons they had good concepts but didn't know how to conclude them. Another good example of this is The Computer Wore Menace Shoes from earlier this season. Comic Book Guy falling in love with Skinner's mom is just a really strange and "Family Guy" levels of uncomfortable and the Bart and Milhouse plot was predicable and didn't interest me at all as soon as I knew where it was going.

The highlight of this episode was definitely the Moe's Tavern scene, very funny. Moe was a character that stayed consistently funny throughout the series until they made his entire shtick that he wanted to commit suicide.

    5.9/10.
