Homer breaks his jaw in an accident, requiring it to be wired shut for a month. His resulting inability to talk makes him a better listener, and he becomes closer to family and friends because of it. They all like the new Homer much better, but when the wires come off and Homer retains his new attitude, everyone begins to miss the old Homer's antics. Written by Bubber01

Did You Know?

The desert island float with the lesbians in the gay pride parade was called "Lesbians Of The Caribbean". This is a reference to the Pirates Of The Caribbean ride at Disneyland in California. The island itself resembles a scene at the end of the first waterfall drop, and the lesbians chasing other women around trees is reminiscent of the Spanish Villa scene that showed pirates chasing women around in circles. The song sung goes "yo ho ho it's an alternative lifestyle for me", is a spoof of the song on the ride: "Yo ho ho it's a pirate's life for me". See more »
