    • Trivia
Final appearance of Maude Flanders, barring occasional dream sequences, flashbacks, or other deviations from the series' regular progress. Maude was killed off because her voice actress Maggie Roswell had quit the series over a salary dispute. Marcia Mitzman Gaven, who took over most of Roswell's series characters, provides the very few lines that Maude speaks in this one, as well as the voices for guest bit-players "Diane" and "Fandemonium girl."
    • Goofs
In the episode where Maude dies, Flanders is seen lying on the left side of a double bed. In the episode where Flanders is attracted to a Christian singer, Flanders says that the left side of the bed is where Maude slept and does not wish for her indentation in the sheets to be disturbed. In other episodes, Flanders states that he and Maude sleep in different beds.
    • Quotes

Maude Flanders: Neddy, I've had about all I can take of Homer Simpson's torso. I'll get some hot dogs.

      Ned Flanders: No foot-longs!

Maude Flanders: I know, they make you uncomfortable.
